Default Laugh Of The Day

A new way to locate gold

"As a matter of fact this was the base of an invention on finding Au by the shifting of the surface materiel due to daily movement caused by both normal earth and temp changes. It was used on the theory that the pressure and movement caused certain crystals to act as rectified Pizo electric generators which acted to broadcast as an uncontrolled spark gap transmitter of an extremely broad range of frequencies, the harmonics of which extended up into the low radio range and so could be picked up by a broadly tuned recever. in the form of random clicks, chatter and squeals."

My sides hurt from laughing so hard

Hi Jim,
In every fiction have some truth. During earthquake or underground explosions ,more of soils or objects with piezo-electric property generate very strong electro-static impulse. This is known and usable in geological investigation. But make sparks by little variability of temperature of subsurface layers - it is too bold guess. Maybe this will have effect in desert rocks , where temp variations are from -10 to +80C.
It is interesting to check this idea in experiments.
But I can't see where is Au or another metals in this effect?
