Terahertz waves receiver

The article said all objects emit terahertz waves and they use them to see though clothing. I guess that shoots down what some people have said about dowsing (including me). Does anyone know how to build a terahertz receiver? I'm not talking about a fancy video, just something like a radio receiver and a shotgun mic, possibly a scanner of sorts.
