Thumbs up For everyone who wants build a LRL's works

Hi all and for all skeptics

How to make a the ultimate metal detector! (detects a truck at 500m)

Apparently you can do this! And the key is to be able to measure
extremely small changes in magnetic field density while at the same
time nulling out the earth's magnetic field.

There is some complex maths in there and I don;t expect you'll be
making this on the bench at all but it is an interesting design that
shows how it is possible to use lasers and magnetstrictive material
to create a very sensitive magnetic field detector
Device in sight!

The motivation for the design is military and as it says in the text
just about the only thing you can never hide (camouflage) or jam (radar)
is the fact that military equipment is made of metal.
that now, when you think of printable plastic guns.

The idea is that you can always detect metal whether it is underwater
or hidden on the ground and by flying this unit over the terrain you
can detect them.

Hey Nicholas.
If I want to build it, what should I do

Why one should need a magnetometer to detect things visible by your eyesight?

Nevertheless, what happen, if truck is completely made out of gold?

Hi dear WM6 is also for detection underground and under water

Maybe you have misunderstood dear WM6.

Here is the invention in PDF format.

Why you would address this to the skeptics, I do not know? This is real science, and therefore has a much higher percentage chance of working than either dowsing or wishful thinking.

By the way, there are two figures missing from the document, but that is because the links are broken on the microcontroller projects website.

Hi dear Qiaozhi thanks for this pdf details yes I know it is scientifics
But I address my topic for the Skeptics about distance and depth detection. I not speqk about dozsing or Rods. I speak about scentifics qnd electronics LRL's. This project work with Laser IR. and can detect object near 500m. But exist other IR can detect 1500m.
Also exist some peoples not believe it I think we have here in this forum

Looks good but too complicated.

Laser is used as comparative light measurement and not as detecting mean.

Still, it cannot detect nothing under ground at 500m, only visible above-ground targets at such distance.

Maybe usable at night for military moving target detecting and positioning needs.

Most probably, it is to long article to read.

What is the main point - related to underground detecting at 500m?

If you read it, well I know that's asking a lot. The laser is not pointed at the target. It runs through a fiber optic cable to a sensor and that cable shrinks slightly in a magnetic field. So they measure how long it takes for the laser light to run through the cable to the sensor. A shorter cable takes less time. Who are you? "They shall wail and gnash their teeth outside the gate..." You must get some kind of perverse thrill up your leg.

Am I saying something different?

"Laser is used as comparative light measurement and not as detecting mean."

But it is still question of detecting 500m underground through uneven soil environment in comparison to 500 m of detecting in homogeneous and magnetic unproblematic air medium together with enormous big ferromagnetic target (truck) at 500m.

In soil this apparatus could not perform much better than other known magnetometer technologies on ferro targets. No to say that it cannot detect precious metals at all. So little hope to use this as some sort of LRL. Hopeless technology for LRL believers.
