I have done this with the Arc-Geo logger using the small thermal game detector. I mapped my septic tank and could see it very well.

Hi.

OKM writes "Create high resolution 3d graphics of the underground by measuring the differences in temperature on the surface of the ground".
Until last year i had a thermocamera and i made a lot of tests. Yes, near the surface and after the afternoon i took some results at big onjects. But if the depth was biger than 20...25 cm or if the object was small (a soda can) or if it was morning or a day without sun, then NO RESULTS.
So for me is a method that we can't use at treasure hunting

Regards

Geo the target would have to be large enough to retain the heat needed for detection. The deeper the larger the target. I cannot see this device being used to detect small targets. You also have the spot ratio to target size. But it does work on large near surface targets.
