Hi Nelson,
the schematics I remember there is... but what about coils ? and ferrites ? and ferrites gap tuning ?

The problem is that some informations are not complete to make a perfect clone I think so you must guess about some stuff...

Anyway, I remember also that LRLMAN reported the pistol don't work for him... so if doesn't work for him (LRLMAN ! dang! ) why do you think it will work for you ???

No, no... ok... please continue... try to make/test it and report here results... I will be glad of your success if will happen!
(though I dubt really it will be)

Kind regards,
Max

The schematic was posted in forum (if I remember well, by manufacturer). Anybody build and test?

Hi Esteban.
Many people constructed it at Greece, without results
Few weeks ago, when i went to Olympus for treasure hunting, there was two people who had a GG clone. No results. Only the Alonso's PD

I don't think that anybody of all these people that made these clones can give a schematic for gg's 707 antenna.
A lot has been talked about 707's antenna in all greek forums and nobody came up having this info.
Well it is obvious that nobody has ever made anything close to the original gg AL707 and this is the only truth.
To understand the working principle of a detector doesn't mean that you are able to build it as well.

P.S.I just remembered myself asking over here in geotech for help to build 707's antenna.
Here is my post and check it out:antenna of gold gun 707

Exclamation Paparia

Dear GEO,
kindly do not answer to Apogonos Leontos Sgourou what it means PAPARIA.

He can live without this knowledge. Anyway they are technical terms for the very few and very specialists on Marconi theory...

Errwsthe kaloi mou Maxmouthdes,

Kind regards,

Alex.356

Hi all
From what I have studied in the schematic of the GG, this detector has 2 ferrites sitting opposite of each other, and when they are in line with a signal they are mixed and they null, but only when the antenna is in line with the strongest signal, that is how it works.
Also it is picking up the magnetic component of VLF signals and currents in the earth.

Hello:

Yes the model 707 have only one rod ferrite 1/2 inch, the other model 718 two ferrite.
The ferrite is difficult to find, I buy one in company, California, U.S.A.
and in the stormwise.com are other, 1/2 x 12 inch.

I experiment with diferent ferrites, small, etc, and with small rod I listen Am radio, the gun is a simple receiver? or what.

yes I know is better work with low freq. this penetrate better in ground.
and I think build a transmitter to gun, the company say GG work 7.5 khz.

some day put in my yard, detector Garret and I receive the signal 20 meters away....

Does anyone knows the operating frequencies of both 707 and 718?
Each one of them has a three position switch on top.
Is there a common frequency to both?
