Geo ...if the receiver is correct it is not a bfo detector for metals but for cw and ssb.

Wire of loop is 2.5mm^2 and the wire of potcore is 1mm diameter but i think is not critical

The 658 transistor circuit and its surrounding parts do not function as a Colpitts oscillator.
