You need to do your research more thoroughly. Then you would know that TOTeM does not contain any circuitry even remotely similar to a Heathkit detector.

At the moment you're only speculating about a design that you have not seen, let alone built and tested.

As you know, I'm a skeptic about LRLs, and especially concerning dowsing and any gadget that has a swinging handle. However, TOTeM is an interesting device that is fun to build and test. Your challenge is to figure out how it "works".
