Easy enough to build your own for about $75 or less. Personally I have never been a fan of the hand-held frequency generators. You do not get the discrimination. Send me a private message and I will give you some info.

I built (actually "assembled" is a more accurate term) a device like this one only mine was lighter weight. It takes about an hour to add a handle and an antenna to the ready-made signal generator price about $50. I found it very clumsy and I could not find the target.
Remember the whole concept of MFD is crossing the discriminated signal line to the target. Obviously, you cannot cross any line with this device so it is not an MFD in the first place. My advice: don't even waste your time assembling one. If you just can't live without a hand-held locator, you are better off to hold a signal generator in your left hand and an L-rod in your right hand. |

Looks like Mr. Blanes made enough money defrauding people with the Examiner scam to make the scam a little better looking than a calculator taped to a dowsing rod.
Pablo, if you even have to ask about this device, then you're a perfect mark. I urge you to pay full retail price for one, and offer Mr. Blanes a 10% bonus for the lesson you'll learn. |

So. instead of a calculator taped to a swivel handle, we now have the "upgraded" version with a signal generator taped to a swivel handle. Whatever will they think of next? |
