How to build a loop for LRL
Hi. Here is the way that i made a loop for my electrostatic detector.
1. We pass the lid from a box of plastic colour 10 krg (it has 30cm diameter). 2. We cut it in the middle, as it appears in the photograph, in order to it is lighter. 3. We wrap the core with 2m wire 0,15mm diameter.

4. We wrap 1 turn from wire 2,5 mm diameter
5. We pass the core through the wire 6. Fix the coil (turn) in the plastic nutshell with hot glue (Max, calm ) 7. We connect the FIS and we stick it above in the nutshell Now its ready Regards

Simillar to White's TM808 coils!?

seems very easy to do... nice work. Did you have any result with that design ? I guess this is the kind of coil employed with tape recorder preamp/amplifier stuff... as Esteban described... or do you use something different ? Kind regards, Max

Hi dear Geo,
very nice work for building loop !!! Please explain more this loop that how it working and share your LRL schematic here and tell us about it's performance ... I am waiting for your answer... with best regards... zenit52 |

I saw it at a post from Esteban with a Aluminium loop. I had not al bar so i made it with the lid of a plastic box and a thin copper wire. It is not for the tape recorder preamplifier because i dont believe at it. Tape preamplifies are NAB preamplifiers so i dont like to play with them. I like every preampl to have straight line frequency responce. I will use the loop with my electrostatic detector that i told at other thread. It is the PCB5 modificated. Regards

Hi zenit52. Advantage of this loop is that it is not so sensitive at erratic signals. I have a electrostatic detector that give me some beeps at some places but i can't understand the exactly point to dig.... If this loop has more gain then maybe the "random" beeps to be continuesly so to have the ability to pin point the coins Regards

Yes, is style TM808, closed. As Geo said, is similar to aluminium, except is more ease to make. Yes, with this style no pick many interferences.
Geo, good work! |

As you can see people don't trust much your tape-recorder-based-LRL... Have you ever made an LRL that works ??? Just hitting the keyboard , uh ? Like Dr. Hung! Kind regards, Max

Here a copper foil and some foils made. One is inside the core.

I did not think it. So is this the reason that you always use resin glue??? I use very often hot silicon. Very easy to apply and be cold in few seconds Regards

Hi Geo,
please put here your LRL schematic... Did you test it in real condition for example to find some coins under soil ? I am waiting for your answer... with best regards... zenit52 |

Hi Geo,
Did you use in your electrostatic detector, one magnetic field detector circuit, yes? You maybe use LM324 to preamp receive signals and use LM3914 to show signal value by LEDs, yes? please tell us about your device performance... I am waiting for your answer... with best regards... zenit52 |

Sorry but i can't give the schematics. Electrostatic detector is a simple RF ampl and after 4 stages i demodulate the signal. I amplifier it yet and i send it to a beep generator (one 555 and a buzer) At the MFD i use the LM3915 as indicator and a buzer for beeps. About performance.... i am yet under test. I take some beeps but i can't pinpoint the object. Regards

Electrostatic filed cannot radiated seem as electromagnetic field. Also very interesting for me this matter which how detectable it ? Our dear friend Esteban help me in the mater . It is easy, moving coil at static filed produced voltage across it Then amplifying and filter, at this point you can use meter seem as Filed strange. Then compare it with reference voltage. (Adding sensitivity Control section) After this steps, you can use add audio generator. I design electrostatic filed detector. It is on bread bored, work Without problem at lab. As I beginning other work leave it now. Best regards. |
