Yes, low-cost snake-oil. It's a AA battery, a toggle switch, and a piezo buzzer. That's all. Nicely packaged in a travel soap-case.

Default Junk!! Avoid them like the plague!!

My Dad was so curious about them , that he broke down and bought them. Carl is right. They are more like a fisher- price toy , but without the quality. They are copper colored steel rods , bent L-shaped ( clothes hanger), enclosed in some jerry-rigged pvc handles. Very poor construction and the soap dish on a rope is a laugh . It has a high pitch sound , much like a dog whitsle and has a sticker on it that explains the warranty will be void if opened. First of all , there is no warranty , second have you ever seen a product that changing the battery would void its warranty? I personally talked to this man. He is a Rev. and swears that it works. All he is interested in is filling his offering plate with your money , change , gold , or whatever he can scam from you. You will walk around looking like a fool holding these gimmicks in your hand , and never find anything. I experimented with them , and have found that dowsing is nothing but a mind game. Those who believe in dowsing , are the ones that carry dog eared copies of the tabloids around.
I will be happy to provide photos of this product , if you would like to see what they really look like up close. In the ebay listing , the photos are poor quality. You can doctor any testimonial , and be a creative writer, and this is just what the Rev. has done in his listing. I cannot get him to produce any telephone #'s of these people , or addresses so I can interview them. Also his 700 and some odd number of feedbacks are not for this product. He sells an led flashlight set to clip on your detector , and very few of the gold sticks have been sold , or have feedback been reported on. There is a negative or two , the buyer puts it like it is. He calls them Toys for Tots , the Rev. replies and says the Loser never gave them a fair try. The only thing I can say for them is , you can get legs like professional body-builders from all the walking. He needs to change the name to Mega Legs walking sticks , because your legs will fall off before you find anything with them.
Take Care & HH , David

Your both silly and naive sentences above pretty much illustrates the line of thought in this forum and in some others. The complete lack of the ability to explain and accept complex subjects and the tendency to expose to ridicule phenomena which are not understood and thus accepted by conventional science. In fact conventional science cannot explain this at all, unfortunately many here only rely on it to back up their coments and obvously fall in disgrace.

Also in this forum ALL LRLs pose as non working devices. This is a falacy which I came to know by contacting users of some listed here and who are having sucess on their own.

We know that dowsing works to a lot of people. And also does not work to many.
I can explain this by citing a famous saying: 'God is not stupid to give wings to a snake'.

Food for thought: How this relates to what I said above?

PS: My friend told me the colorado gold sticks are working for him. Now what?

Default Let me see you must make money sell them (LRL)

If you are selling them ("You want all of us to be very stupid")
I look in side one of the snake oil unit and the circuit was a bull$!t junk parts mixed crap.Tell me this, how do GOLD give off a signal.
How can you tell a $1 from $5 or $100 bill. The signal would be so low the the gain of the electronics would be so much higher than Nasa stuff.
And you want to call some of us silly for wanting to know how this stuff works.IF YOU ARE A SELLER OF THE LRL you are a Wallet miner.
So are you a seller or a user of LRL?
Oh the earth is a big ground and you know what happens when things are grounded.

I am from Brazil. No way I'm selling those. My point is that despite of the simplicity of the circuit and the probable fixed frequency (according to my friend the manual states that it will look for gold if no available, then silver and so on..) it works for some. Many dowsers use bent coat hangers(!) and they suceed.
Electronics , or the lack of it, is not what makes devices this type work. It's the human machine, a much more complex compound, interacting with other forces.

As for grounding, it depends. The Avramenko's fre electrons system does require no ground as the free electrons from atmosphere could not be tapped. But ground is important in other cases, since the earth is a capacitor itself.

Some comments...

Everything is very crudely made, and hastily assembled. Looks like something I might have made in Cub Scouts when I was 8. Piezo volume is very low, probably a good thing so you don't attract too much attention, or annoy too many dogs. Battery flops around inside. I believe I read that opening the box voids the warranty... doesn't look like that's much to worry about.

Regarding prior comments, yes the "line of thought in this forum" is generally from a skeptical point. I've seen 20 years of LRL fraud. Garbage that only puts money in the manufacturers pocket, and nothing else. If any of these things worked worth a crap, my $25,000 would be easy pickins.

Some of these devices are outright laughable, like the Ranger-Tell Examiner and the Colorado Gold Sticks. I can see how people can be fooled by Mineoro, or OKM, or even Electroscope. But a calculator taped to a dowsing rod? A soap box that beeps? Really?? It hard to imagine that anyone would take any of this stuff seriously. But, they do.

Fortunately, with the Colorado Gold Sticks, it's an inexpensive lesson. Not so with Mineoro, Fitzgerald, or Electroscope.

You know your challenge is an utopia.
You can transfer your statement above to Mineoro's claim of 50K if it DOES NOT WORK. Apply for it then.

You are correct that they do illustrate the line of thought in this forum, and for one very good reason - they're true.

This phenomena is very clearly understood. It is a well documented instance of the ideomotor response, and a trick of the mind. Many people throughout the world have been fooled by dowsing, and some even continue to fool themselves that it really works.

Silly is to waste money in my opinion. I will triple Carls reward if anyone wants to take me up on it. Tell your friends in Brazil , or any other third world country. None of them work ....... , does not matter what they call it , or who builds it. I was going to post pics. of this disected POS , but Carl beat me to it.

If they worked , your friend would be keeping his mouth shut just like anyone else would. Having a tool like this that worked would be like having the winning lotto ticket in your pocket. Your odds of hitting the lottery are much better than ever finding anything with an LRL.

In order to find treasure , you have to walk over it to begin with. People like to think that these gimmicks work so they dont have to work to find treasure. YOU HAVE TO WORK IN ORDER TO FIND TREASURE , there is no free ride. Treasure is not easy , a two box unit and do your homework for deep hoards. You will find treasure , but it still wont be easy. Suppose an LRL worked , you still would not find anything without doing some research. Like I said before , your legs will fall off. Every slight movement and the rods go every which way, making you think your on to something. I set a 1 ounce gold bar on my kitchen table and walked around it for hours , trying different techniques , and still did not get a response from the Colorado Junk Sticks. Now how is it going to find gold from any distance? The gold sticks are not my first rodeo with LRL's. I have experimented with dowsing many times before, and feel I have logged enough hours to say they do not work. Anything that sounds to good to be true , is useally an LRL.

Scam is right , probably an understatement. If the people behind these LRL's really thought they work , they would not be selling them. They would be to busy counting money and too tired from digging all that gold to worry about small change they make off the unit. I bet they are the same people telling you to send them $19.95 and they will show you how to make thousands in the pyramid scams. Think about it people.

Can't you all read between the lines????
Why some play soccer well and others just can't? Why Brazil is 5 time world cup winner and no other country can do it and will never beat Brazil for sure?
Why USA are kings in basketball and no other country can beat them?
Why some people can do open deep dives and other just can't?
Maybe trying to answer those questions help you to understand the 'whole'.

Skeptics logic: 'Dowsing does not work for me, so dowsing does not work at all.'

Case closed for me.
Sorry, have other things to do right now.

I saw dowsing working for other but not for me. Up to here no problem. The problem is that some constructors of dowsing trying to sell us dowsings that work in all, sorry but this is fraud .

"Read between the lines and try to understand the whole"? Ok I will try:

Why do people with search coil find lots of treasure and people who buy LRL find nothing?
Why does Hung always TALK about treasure from LRL, but never show PHOTOS of his LRLs recently finding great treasures?
Why does Hung care if people believe him, since his LRLs can find treasure whether people believe him or not?
Why is there no rich LRL people except those who sell LRLs?

Because LRL only work to find treasure in wallet of sucker?

You are comparing things that can be acomplished to a certain extent. Sure some are better at things that actually work, like basketball games , and soccer games. You cant say the same for dowsing, because they dont work. Nobody will be better than anyone else with dowsing. If so , then they would have dowsing contests. My case is closed with you on this also. How can a few say it works , and thousands say its a gimmick? Who's right , who's wrong? If it were to appear in a court hearing , the makers of LRL's would lose their asses.

It's usually the dowsing and LRL believers that say skeptics do not have an open mind. When in fact it's the other way around. You are just not listening. Dowsing only appears to work because the mind is very adept at making you believe things that are not true.

Here's a nice little parlor game:

Take a length of thread and attach a small weight to the end. Then draw a cross on a piece of paper and suspend the weight over the cross. Try to keep your hand perfectly still, and concentrate on the weight. With the sheer power of your enormous mind you can make the weight move from side-to-side. After a while, will the weight to stop and then start oscillating in a vertical direction.

Such is the power of the ideomotor effect. You will swear that your hand was perfectly still during the whole experiment. So how was the weight able to move? My God, it must be a miracle! Or perhaps witchcraft!!

This is the same mind trickery that powers the Ouija board, table tipping and dowsing. C'est la vie!
