Hi Clondike Clad,
What is the signal?
Well, according to Dell, This would depend on if it is physical dowsing or mental dowsing. The physicals say it has something to do with the VOC levels of paint. But the mentals say it is all about mind control.

Get it? THERE IS NO ANSWER...!!! Just a buncha hype.

Best wishes,

The paint roller thingy would be most sensitive to paint. Let's say there was Yellow (or Gold-colored) paint on a wall somewhere. Then, quite naturally the paint-roller-handle thingy would point to the subject wall.

Also, it matters not if you label what is being done as "mental" or "physical". The signal in question is neither AF, RF, ELF, UHF or VHF. In fact, the signal that causes the paint roller thingy to respond comes from the operator's mind, is transmitted down their arm, and causes their hand to tilt and this makes the paint roller thingy move about. All really simple, wouldn't you say?

Hi Theseus,
Eight out of ten professional painters agree that the signal does indeed originate in the brain. When they apply paint on a wall, it seems obvious that the paint application is the result of muscles moving, but after intense research and testing, it was discovered that the muscles don't move at all unless the brain tells them to. (Of course, the brain is not the same as the mind, but a close substitute, provided the painter hasn't had too much to drink). Recent tests suggest that if the painter is thinking about something different than applying paint, then the paint job will look spotty and botched, compared to when the painter is focused on creating a perfectly painted wall.

So what does this have to do with dowsing? (oops, I mean what does it have to do with a professional instrument for qualifying and locating hidden treasures via a sample chamber connected to a bent brass rod)?
.... Well it just goes to prove once and for all that these methods work as a result of brain activity which is supposedly initiated by the actions of the mind.

And this proof brings me to a troubling question that crept up to an annoying level as I made my amazing discovery of brain control of the rods.... If these "L"-shaped rods that are used to locate treasure work by mind action, then why can't a person just point his fingers instead of holding brass rods? I mean, can't the brain control the motions of the fingers just as well as it can cause the fingers to make bent rods move?

I am sure the manufacturers of bent-rod style treasure locators will tell you that plain fingers won't do... you must by their junk (oops, I mean treasure locators). But doesn't it stand to reason that simply pointing your fingers and relying on your brain to make them point would work as well as holding bent rods in your fingers for pointing?

Best wishes,
J_P

Well, yes... there is no reason why the brain (mind) could not just as easily cause a "pointing finger" to locate buried treasure, but then how would the LRL Wallet Miners make a living? Or, in Dell's case supplement his meager SS check.

Like the LOTTO was designed to place an extra tax on the numerically-challenged; commercial LRLS were designed to rob extra cash from the technically-challenged and gullible. In both instances, the targeted market base has responded rather well. Although there are far fewer technically-challenged dweebs that fall for the LRL scams, than folks that play the LOTTO.

Is it mind control, or brain control?
There is a difference ... you can lose your mind and still be alive, but if you lose your brain, then you're dead.
