How to connect mfd with antenna

I do some experiments with an mfd.
which cable and what connector to use to connect antenna with the mfd?

From my research my opinion is coaxial cable and bnc connector.
I'm amateur in electronics so give me some links of what you propose.

The anntenna is custom made from copper and the frequency is up to 1000 hz.
