Default Google Chrome for Linux

Well ..... almost:

At the moment only the developer version of Google Chrome is available, but it works! Get your copy here -> http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html?extra=devchannel

There's still some stuff missing. like printing and some add-ons, so it's more like a sneak preview. Looking good though.

There is another version of Chrome available that uses the same open source browser engine, but the hidden "report back to Google" spy features have been removed. You can find this version here: http://www.srware.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=835
This version released on Sept. 8 is called SR-Ware Iron, and It has some plugins added for Linux that make it a little more functional than the original beta.

One thing I noticed about the Chrome or Iron browser is it works fast on most websites. But in some cases, the web servers consider it to be a non-conforming browser that cannot render some pages correctly, or utilize plugins correctly. I sometimes see error messages at a few websites when I am using the Linux version or the Windows version. But it is still a fast alternate browser for most uses. I find it handy when I want to quickly go to another website without opening another tab in my active browser.

Best wishes,
J_P
