This can really find gold? Did you test?

Thumbs up Very Good

Hi Tim . Very good work. Gongratulation.
As i see in the photo of GG S1 must be with 3 positions (on-off-on) -(T..B..L-D), but at the schematic is 2 position (on-on). Who is the right?
Any info about coil ???
Thanks
Best Regards

It is 3 position switch. I will open the coil up soon.

My GG looks exactly like Tim's, same PCB & components. However, mine is still covered in white gunk. May take me some time to get it cleaned out.

My recollection on some info I read some time in the way past is that the Gold Gun used ELF currents generated from the old submarine comms program. When that was shut down some years ago, Accurate Locators added a transmitter to the Gold Gun, and called it the "DLS." You can see one on eBay, right now, right here.

Thanks for the schematic, Tim.

Default ELF signals

Carl,

I once had a paper from a Geophysical publication that talked about using 60 hz for exploration away from surburban areas. Couldn't we use the european 50 hertz in the USA,should have no problem picking up the signal I would think with all the hundreds of miles of powerlines over there and many megawatts.

I will update the schematic tonight with the coil info. They had a 1/2"x14" ferrite rod with a coil wound in the center. The coil had a tap on it that went to ground shown on the schematic. I have the values and will post tonight.

Ok I updated the zip file with the information on the coil and picture. It did not survive the disassembling of the pvc! No lost.

I think you forgot to attach the file.

Default Thanks again Tim!

Tim,

That's interesting that they had the dipole crosswise to the direction where you would think the rod was pointing to. I would of made it so the direction of reception would of been straight ahead. I guess I'm thinking like an Amatuer Radio guy instead of an LRL MFR.

Well that settles that mystery and too bad the Navy disabled the ELF transmitters.

The signal that was needed to use the gun is no longer being transmitted as I understand it. Because of that reason a ELF transmitter was sold. I'm not saying the gold gun never worked.
The unit was sent to me from a friend and asked me to see what was inside. The files show what was inside. I saw the gold gun used in Mexico with bad results. I'm not for or against the gold gun. Just thought after all this time some would like to see what made it tick.

Hi LRLMAN,

When you were in Mexico, did you see any other LRLs with good results?

The Gold gun was the only unit they had there. That trip turned out to be a mess! It was the first and last time for me. We were followed and recorded from a ways off. Pictures were taken of us. The reason I know this is a fellow LRL manufacturer told me he saw pictures and heard recording of us talking. It's a long story!

Jonas,

That's just what I suggested regarding the use of VLF Navy stations. Thank you for posting the schematic.

Hi,
nice schematic... but how can this "thing" find e.g. gold ???

For me it can't does that.

What I understand of this circuit is that there are two opposite wounds on ferrite rods... like one would see e..g. in a gradiometer but with magnetic hi-perm. core, then a "filter" or "decoupler", then amplifier, then another decoupler and another amplifier !

Does it find gold ?

For me if another "version" of "anomaly detector": this is magnetic , where zahori is electrostatic.

That's so, zahori react to E-field and E-compoent of EM radiations, this react to local B spot variations or B-component of EM radiations.

If you use it near a power line you'll see the ufo ! Like with zahori.

You probably have to use it from E-W direction cause N-S movements will pick variation of coupled Earth magnetic field.

Unit is probably subject to ULF/ELF (if present) detection... e.g. low frequency modulation of 50/60Hz , ULF due to navy subarine comm. emissions, ULF due to atmosperics phenomenon etc etc etc

But then ? Is it an advantage for you ? Don't understand.

Any big spot variation of Earth magnetic field will be detected by movements of rods axis near the hi-gradient area, but can you pinpoint anything that way ?

How can it just pick few pT variations due to gold and not nT ones due to e.g. big iron stuff in ground ?

For me cannot find gold, just gold or precious metals, but will find any power line, any railway emission, any huge scrap of iron, any lightening etc etc

Nice schematic, yes, have a differential fet configuration, hi-impedance...
but for me is just another zahori that serve nothing.

Best regards,
Max

Thumbs down

Eh...this schematic tell us only that GG has pretty similar phylosophy to Zahori, "RObertoro" etc.etc. almost every other similar device i saw.
What we have here? Pretty simple, direct receiver...and nothing else.
Coils are defining some "band" to be received. At output there should be present som mum,hum,"schhhhh..weeeouu,weeooou..." and nothing usefull.
If man put VU at the out...scale will turn respectfully to its sensitivity...
Further some improvements can be done to it in same manner ivconic did with Zahori - much better audio. Mothing else.
But what is the point? Modded or not it is unusefull both ways.
You can only receive mums and hums and nothing else. Unless somebody give some proofs that Gold (or any other metal) is producing simillar hums and mums. Even than...

Hallo to everyone! I have some questions on this machine!
First of all, does anyone know for sure if the 2 coils are opposite wounded or same direction?
And second, i wonder if it's easy for someone to explain me about the "Null Line" between a target and the gun. What's this exactly? I mean what explains this phenomenon?
Best regards

I have exactly the same questions as superfreq.
Waiting for answers as well.
