Did you ever get tired of all those ads on most of the web pages you surf for technical information?
You know the ones -- ads by Google are mixed into forums so they are hard to tell from the content people are posting. And you see ads in articles to confuse you on which link to click.
They are even mixed into the site navigation menus, to fool you so you will click to an advertising site instead of more information from the site you are reading.

In past times we could recognize the ads, and ignore them as we read. But we now Google ads are mixed into web pages to appear as part of the content of the page.
And there are also pages full of fake hyperlinks in the text placed by advertisers that will pop up an annoying ad window when you move the mouse past the link.

If you are using Firefox browser, there is a way to make it all go away.
Yes, you can get back to surfing web page without all the advertising by using a single firefox extension called Adblock plus. http://adblockplus.org/en/
This browser extension works with a list of advertiser's domains to block from displaying on the page.
You can right-click on any ad and add it to the block list while you are surfing, and eventually you will have all the advertisers blocked so you wont see any more ads.
Or a faster way is to download or copy someone else's list of ads to use for your block list. There are many available lists.

In my case, I made my own list because I wanted to keep it short and simple so the browser won't spend too much time checking a large list.
Here is my Adblock blocking list that keeps nearly all the ads off my Firefox browser. These are listed in order of the most frequent blocking done:

http://*doubleclick.net/*
http://ads.*
http://kona.kontera.com/*
http://ads2.*
http://ad2.*
http://s3.buysellads.com/*

You can also find freeware that works similar for other browsers like Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari and others.
