Default New low cost LRL alternative

Here is possibly a new, previously undisclosed, approach at Long Range Locating of treasue.

Many of the commercially available LRLs rely on some form of dowsing, with an expensive electronic assist to locate treasure.

Clearly, dowsing requires specially developed sensitivity on the part of the user to be successful. If you buy one of these LRLs and it turns out you don't have the gift, you made somebody else rich and yourself poorer at the same time.

So, why not an inexpensive test to see if you have "the gift", before you shell out the big bucks for an LRL?

Inexpensive solution at hand

Get yourself a Ouija board.

Take it out into the field and ask it for the latitude and longitude of the
treasure you are after. Then Punch those numbers into a hand held GPS and go check it.

Ouija boards are not susceptible to winds that disperse ionic fields, or to various humidity conditions, so who knows. The Ouija may work so well
for you that you may not ever get around to buying an expensive LRL.

Interestingly, ouija boards also operate by the ideomotor effect.
Yet another "trick of the mind".
Pretty scary though, if you've ever used one, until you understand what's really going on.

Qiaozhi,

Your sarcasm detector seems to be out of tune. Perhaps a vacuum leak in its ionic chamber?

Holy crap! I think you got something there!

I just found a way to do this for free.
Yes, there is a free online Ouija board that locates treasures at least as well as Dell Winders' LRLs do. Just check out this site...

Ask a question like "where is the treasure?" and see how well it tells the answer...

No - it's not out of tune.
I did recognise the sarcasm in your post, and am also aware who are the proponents and who are the skeptics.

It's just that oujia boards really are quite an interesting and compelling phenomenon, and an excellent demonstration of the ideomotor effect at work.

Yet another "cheap" way to try out dowsing. Unfold a wire coat hanger, then bend it into the shape of an L. The short section should be about 8 inches long and the longer section about 17 inches long.

This homemade L rod will find exactly the same amount of treasure as LRLs costing $695, or thousands of dollars --I guarantee it, since they all work on the same principle.
