coil direction
Is there any difference which way the Tx coil is facing? I've never noticed any but I watched a video showing magnetic flux lines flowing in one side of the coil and out the other, so opposite polarity.

If u supply the coil with DC then ... yes the polarisation will go oposite, otherwise No.

I read that magnet strength is the same at both poles, but in Howard Johnson's book "The Secret Life of Magnets" he plots the flux line strengths and the positive pole has slightly higher numbers. Not sure there is any significance here, but my question is "Does the polarity affect how the target responds?" Pulsed DC.
