sferics
I was looking at sferics level and noticed that it peaks somewhere around 4AM.This is the same time the potential gradient is lowest and locating conditions are supposed to be good. Sferics range from about 3kHz to 30kHz--this is very similar to the range of the AGR receiver. I saw one place had a graph for sferics between 5kHz-9kHz. A lot of lightning and I don't know what else. So I planto do a little experimenting and checking to see if I can notice any difference in locating conditions.

Of course sferics are going to be a local phenomena. You can't use data froma 1000 mies away. So probably need a vlf receiver tuned to the 5kHz-9kHz band with some sort of a signal strength meter. I think it's possible to build a sferics receiver, catch the frequency and tune the receiver like the AGR theory. All this in real time.

hello, we are all old .. if morgam found the frequency ... why not make the old forum?
