Certainly.
As theoretically possible as; the remains of little green aliens stored in the bowels of Area 51, or that the real secret ingredient in all LRL devices is
hot melt glue and all the electronic componentry is just a grand diversion, or .......... ...well, you get the idea.
Lots of things could be considered theoretically possible, especially in the absence of overwhelming evidence to the contrary... but at the same time common sense and logic dictate they are also highly unlikely.
