It is quite obvious why gremanium diodes must be used here. I would suggest AA119 here.

why do you think is wrong ? To me seems ok.

Of course, I'm not sure of original components markings... if for example the color band is anode instead of catode (sometime happens with old stuff) but seems to me just a common voltage doubler there.

If you use AA119 you sure will find them still today and about easy in some shops...and are about the same stuff... the 1N60 is really obsolete thing now (maybe from year 1950 ?).

Anyway... let me know your thoughts about.
