Very interesting. Now I can see how you managed to reduce the size of the cabinet by placing the TX coil at the bottom.

The changes you've made in the construction, and the the lower TX frequency, may be contributing to the silver-only detection. Also, I note that your detection distance is quite low compared to the original prototype, and the detection region is close to the ferrite receiver coil. With the original TOTeM, the most sensitive detection point is somewhere between the TX and RX, and only iron is rejected.

In the other thread, Goldmaxx and I were discussing how the power supply voltage affects the coil balance, and we concluded that it might be an advantage to add a voltage regulator.
