My statement makes perfect sense.

Lets put it another way... Lets say that Albert Einstein was arrested for possessing bestiality porn.
Does that mean the theory of relativity has been negated?

The point is, it's entirely possible (seems dead-likely) that this guy stole someone's identity to stay in this country. If I were to bet, I'd bet Randi probably knew. Still, that doesn't mean that their positions on other things are invalid. It insinuates a lot of things about their personal lives, but it doesn't magically make the frauds they've been exposing for decades somehow credible again.

Take Randi out of the equation. The idea of rational thinking doesn't need a figurehead. Randi has been so vocal about it for so long that he's come to embody the broader notion of people who are opposed to irrational thinking and primitive superstition, but what he represents isn't some 'tribe' with war paint and membership cards. He represents people not believing in mystical powers, quack science (like LRLs), superstitious nonsense.

The fact that the sham-science proponents view this as some 'victory' really shows how bizarre their mentalities are. It would be like saying if Jonas Salk were arrested for drunk driving in the mid 50's, his polio vaccine should be disregarded.

As well as this one:So what?

Let's say J. Randi and his partners are guilty of exactly what they've been accused of, which of course there is no evidence to support that claim, .... but say they are.

How does that make the Lectra-Search or any other scam LRL, suddenly NOT a scam?
