I was raised with the idea that a product had to really work. Then I met a few con men over the years. The old circus guy was right - a sucker born every minute.

So test, really test, before you buy! Learn some valid science so you are able to test the veracity of what your seeing.

Greed gets a person in trouble because they want to believe so badly that their greed blinds them to the reality of what they are seeing.

Greed is really why fake detection systems keep selling. The seller is counting on a person's greed (wanting to believe what is being presented) to sell their dubious product. The con men I've known over the years are the "sincerest" people I've ever met. They are totally sincere in their pitch.
