i want to design 50hz notch filter.passive or active
can anybody help me

If I speak on this subject I will show my ignorance. LOL So if you discover anything please let me know. I sure don't know how to get a nice, tight notch filter. My only suggestion would be maybe have two circuits--a high pass and a low pass--so you toggle between the two.

I assume you are talking about analog, not digital. I'm no help with either. LOL
If u looking for at internet will finding sites that calculates the filters.
A good way is one in series and one parallel.
Maybe active is better

There's info on building a 50 Hz hum filter on youtube. One I saw for 60 Hz says to set the high pass at 40 Hz and the low pass at 80 Hz, so you can adjust that for 50 Hz.

I was messing with a high pass filter--looks like they had it set above the 180 Hz harmonic. I adjusted the potentiometer until just befoe the interference kicked in. Now I can receive the 40 Hz signal I use for gold. Just a potentiometer with one line going to ground and the input to the wiper. I never measured the resistance after I adjusted so I do not know what the cut-off frequency is calculated to. I could receive the 40 Hz previously but it was weak signal due to the high pass filter. Now it is a strong signal.

What is a Notch Filter and what does it do? Is the transceiver using a frequency?
It cuts out my interference frequencies.
