No, it has one oscillator only and no mixer stage (BFO's should have two + mixer).
It is marked as TR, but has nothing to do with known TR/IB design.
Could be named as "floating Q" design.

Yes I tried it. In fact I tried German version named Gold Prinz:

Coil frequency is not critical you can build it per data given in CM 1000 schematic.

Not really. For me some parts was more available according German solution.

Main parts as front-end and divider are the same.

You can try with some other (audio) N-channel MOS FET like: BD512, IRFP240, IRF510, 2SK2221, IRF540, IRFP260, IRFP450, IRF840 ....
