View Full Version : Self-Delusion As A Way Of Life

LRLs are just a small part of the whole story: living for an illusion!

The truth is too hard for them - they must cocoon theirselves in a whole bunker of dream-reality!

The rich have enslaved and killed the poor for their selfish illusions of immortality!
Just take a look at the egyptian pharaos.

But also the usual people have an absolutly need for a life which is built up on lies!
Check out all those religions and their believers - they "must" believe there's life after
death including rebirth, paradise and whatever for not being desperatly feared about
their natural or even sudden end of life.

The effort of Russia was enourmous to stop all this "opium for the masses" but we see
how fast all this crap came back, including all kind of sects, occult phantasts, liars and
wannabe world-savers.

Its insanity to murder other peoples or the own person just to protect the proud of some gods,
only because this is traditional believe and anybody is in deep fear that "his" god will
throw those out of paradise who don't defend its "good name" on earth!

Gods good name on earth?
They even pray to god if one of their dearest persons have died naturally or however,
instead of thinking what kind of cruel "deity" this must be to create such a brutal and
painful world! They use excuses like "I've learned now that god is sovereign" instead of throwing
away all those absurd fairy-tales.

But many "must" believe, the afterlife is their only hope after a life full of pain.
And many have a life of pain! Its not fair that a mothers little child dies, but it happens.
Pressing hope which keeps them alive out of their swamp of absurd illusions.

It feels so fantastic for a person if he is convince by his religious brothers and the
priests authorities that god and angels are protecting him on his uncertain way
through this world, so that many people don't wanna relinquish their believes.

Same with lucky-charms (luck-bringers or talismans):
Since ages many people even can't leave their houses without them,
they would feel endangered and vulnerable to all kind of bad fortune.

And many people do nothing without consulting their astrologers first.
Their trust in higher forces or charlatans lead into giving up their free will!

They even think their pets will go into some special heaven for animals - how stupid!
Better self-delusion to the hilt than living with the consequences of reality!
They run away from everything which would be logic, proven and rational just to
protect their own little foolish dreamworld!

The main self-delusion already starts by thinking "I am good".
The Homo Sapiens is like an animal that must kill other living beings for its own survival.
Of course the self-betrayer doesn't wanna have anything to do with such bitter reality,
he thinks he is the pure holyness in persona and only other persons are the hell.

Shure, "eat and geting eaten" is nothing about real "good or evil" but the law of this cruel world,
from which those believers tell that their oh so super and fantastic good god would have created it.

A really good god would have created a world where not each living is built upon the death of others!
This is undeniable! Even completly without mankind (which for some religions is the fault for pain and death
itself because they have sinned, how ridiculous) this world would be cruel without end -
just take a look at the dinosaurs long before mankind - some of them were real killing-giants.

Self-delusion, pushing the truth and notwanted conciousness-content far away together with strict believe
into all kind of hopemaking illusions, dreams and fantasy-stories is the recipe of many to have a life that "feels good".
It even feels fantastic, because it is just a huge castle in the sky, a fantasy world in their minds.

Truth is to hard to bear, so they must flee into their worlds of shiny paradise-tales.

Parents destroy the life of their children when they indoctrinate them already since
the earliest years with their logically seen absolutly crazy "insights of life".
The results are sad brain-washed individuals who spread the illusions further and further.

But many people are such poor beings, so they must have something to rely on.
Hopemaking fantasy-stories give them a feeling of safety and create a lucrative future-perspective.
Everything for them is better than suffering by accepting the hard truth.

We may ask: Is the Homo Sapiens really made for accepting reality?
I guess: not really:
The pain already starts if a child learns that each human must die someday.
Thinking about the own letality is no fun and fear of death can became a massive mental problem
which can people drive even insane or into suicide.

Thats why blocking everything uncomfortable out of the mind is one of the solutions.
"Always look at the bright side of life" tadam tadam as Rowan Atkins sung.
And at the same time ignoring everything frustrating and the bitter truth.

Isn't life itself just an illusion if it comes to the organs of sensing?
The brain and the mind only sees an indirect picture of the real world.

The counciousness likes pretty pictures and can create them through memory even
on its own - so sometimes the simplest solution is just closing the eyes to all the rest.
And there it starts already.
Women who live in a world of unlogical emotions often also don't wanna accept reality.

Many people drink Alc. because they wanna feel good or they need coffee for
being more active and fit. This all is just a pink google for the mind, creating a more pretty
looking world by excluding the truth.

Life is hard but the mind shall make it soft and sweet....

And the same way many LRL developers may shut out the truth, too.
It feels great for them in believing to be special and having created some sort
of "extra-ordinary super-invention". The opposite or the hard truth would be
devestating for their self-confidence, they would feel like loosers.
So they try to keep their illusions alive until somebody stops them.

Same with "crazy" scientists - they feel important as long somebody is interested
in their wild theories and can't counterprove them, because they are often based
on pure virtual factors. Its easy to talk about quants or special forms of energy
if nobody can see or detect them.

But as long as so many people don't stop with their need for self-delusion there will
be always a huge market of fraud-products, religions and hopemaking dream-stuff. :(

I'm shure most people who throw away alot of their money for "wealth and happiness"
promising LRL-machines really could inform theirselves before on a solid basis which leads
them to throw away their plans and recognize that this field of LRL with all its fraudsters
is much too risky etc. - but they won't do that, because it would ruin their dream-world.

Its like with persons who have catched the gold-fever - the wish to became very fast
very rich is so strong that all kind of precaution measures or looking for realistic information first gets ignored.

"I must go there, I must have this opportunity, immediatly, at all costs!" is their motto.

Its like with persons who are addicted to hard and selfdestroying drugs -
they don't wanna hear and think about the truth and consequences.
Many prefer the deadly price of self-betraying than facing the truth!

Excellent essay, dear Funfinder.

I adore your creative writing capabilities.

At the same time, we should not forget that religious thinkings are untouchable and that medieval slogan "Cuius regio, eius religio" applies still at Mineoro plant only.

"Always look at the bright side of life" tadam tadam as Rowan Atkins sung.
I don't know who Rowan Atkins is, but perhaps you meant Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean)?
Anyway, it wasn't him either. It was Eric Idle who wrote and sang the song in Monty Python's Life of Brian. ;)

The brain and the mind only sees an indirect picture of the real world.

Even worse than indirect picture, it only sees an indirect multi-gateway interpretation of real world.

The ancient sages have studied and mapped consciousness for thousands of years. You want to learn something, study them. Then you will see who is delusional. Hint: Look in the mirror and recite the following quote by Christopher Hills from the book "Into Meditation Now" Section Zero

"My senses receive a sensation and this is translated into a message by the mind which makes it into a thought, an idea, or a mental picture or conceptional framework, or creates a satisfying speculation or theory to present to my consciousness for confirmation."

Of course this is not direct perception.

BTW, Hills was not referring to himself on that quote. It is part of a question and answer dialogue he created.

One of the big human problems is "You don't know what you don't know." That means people think they know it all and do not realize they DON'T, especially when it comes to consciousness studies.
