BS it was. Have a look at the roundness of the nugget.
Ballarat gold is deap leads. Old river beds that are hundreds of feet down.
But the scamming coil detector salesmen all say Just below the surface and YOU TOO can find one and have instant retirement if you buy the LATEST MODEL coil detector.

I'm from Ballarat Q, and know local gold when i see it, and that's NOT from 24"

For the next edition of the book how about adding another chapter on Coil Sales Scams!
Maybe the next chapter should be: Shovel and pan "the only way to go"
Or another chapter could be Dave J.... ?????? No..... It's just a joke.

There is no mention whatsoever of the enormous gold nugget on the scamwatch site. Your delusional state is making you see things that are not there. :nono:

That's a nice nugget to find.
But what's this talk about scam?
We all waited more than 9 hours after Mr Devil told us scamwatch was onto it, but no news of a scam. :???:

Is Qiaozhi right?
Is Mr Devil's delusional state is making him see things that are not there?
Or can we find reports of a scam from scamwatch which Mr. Devil says is already onto it?

Best Wishes, :)

Ok i was wrong it was found 24" into the surface and is not a scam. But the deep lead shaft that it came from is 200-300ft below the surace. Maybe with every coil detector sale they should give you a free ticket to go down 300ft and try it out.
Tourism minister says not a scam and 24" is fact.:lol:

Tourism minister says not a scam and 24" is fact.:lol:It is obvious that Australian nugget is worn from ages of moving through sands and gravel, probably in a river bed.
How it got to within 24 inches of the surface can only be known if we could go back in time and watch the history of floods and movement of the overburden.
But I have also seen photos of fist-sized worn nuggets found near the surface in California where they were digging roadbeds just a couple feet deep.
In this particular area, the local mountains are growing at fast rate, and are known to have landslides often when the rains come.
As dirt washes down the mountains, it carries debris which includes material that was once buried much deeper, such as ancient stream beds.
However, I doubt the geology is the same in California as it is where the large Australian nugget was found.
