Hi guys,
I have a little problem, it's for a while that I'm looking for a good provider of sat images (of Europe mostly), even not-free ones.

I need to look at some areas where I have heard of ancient interesting structures, but I need some very detailed, good quality images say that I need 50, 30, 15 and maybe also 10meters virtual height, so I'm talking about very detailed view, that's cause details I'm looking for could be just little evidences on soil and lot of plants, grass etc all around...

Now... I have a long set of interesting coordinates but cannot find still now ANY good sat images provider for the places I'm looking at now!

And also, I'd like to make some bird views of cities and some small towns, just for fun... but, even in that case I can just found just partial coverage from e.g. microsoft's thing website (about same of google) ...few detailed views.... old images, some are of 10 years ago with very low resolution ! No good!

SO: anybody knows about good quality, reliable, also non-free sat images provider I could use for that things ?

Any help will be really appreciated! :D

Kind regards,
Max

Hi Max, I'm sure I had an address from very good firm would give best services of satellite pictures. very high quality pictures from recent week and from the height you selected from 60 Cm above the ground to 700 meters, but however I searched my archive found nothing.
just found an email from a firm with satellite services; ahaun@foerstergroup.com.
I don't know if still is valid and be useful or not.the last connection was for 2003.:frown:
of course I will keep searching for you.

Hi Michael,
many thanks for your help, I really appreciate. I'm still looking around to find good providers but at now I'm not really satisfied with what I found.

I'm doing lot of research around some places but mostly by old documents and pictures that are low resolution so really unuseful tools when looking for interesting "details"...

I hope you'll find that address, would be really nice looking down from 60cm! ;)

Kind regards,
Max

Hi Max,

You could take your own pictures or videos with a small RC airplane or helicopter. It is not so dificult and there is plenty of solutions.
Or:
http://www.express-maps.com/ (http://www.spotimage.fr/web/2385-expressmaps.php)

Hi,
yes I can, but I haven't any rc thing handy... so I'd like to find stuff directly from some archive of sat images...

I will check for new providers ... usually I check terraserver and digitalglobe but found lot of old stuff there... not really what I'm interested at now.

So thanks for links I will see there if will find what I need. ;)

Kind regards,
Max

Hi,
...uhm yes... but I'm awaiting for someone of digitalglobe to answer me... seems the process take long!

Don't know why... I sent a request to DigitalGlobe and got an answer from an employee but seems that someone else (a reseller or something ?) must contact me... it's truly boring now and I'm starting thinking I would use that ballon made of plastic bags to make some of these guys have a good trip in the ionosphere!

Does someone knows how the hell all that providers are so SLOW sending the required things or even giving you a quote ???

Unfortunately I can't fly to US/Colorado there at now... otherwise I will surely get that dang pictures...

Any experience to share about ?

Kind regards,
Max
