The U. S. Deptartment of Energy spent over $400,000 testing dowsing equipment. And what did they find? :razz:

"Further testing of dowsing...would be a misuse of public funds."
— U.S. Geological Survey report, 1917

What a nice Quote.
Someone was really smart, back in 1917.
Next time they better send the $400,000 to me,
I will invest in Beer and Hookers, that makes more sense.
:lol::D:razz:

After finding that the US government spent hundreds of thousands of dollars testing dowsing devices and LRLs, Time magazine looked at their conclusions and summarized it like this:In other words, there is no dowsing sixth sense, only dowsing nonsense.Hmmmm...
I wonder what the pro-dowsing people have to say about that?
Is Time Magazine just another one of Carl's Skeptic lemmings -- a scientific pretender? :rolleyes:

Best wishes,

One thing I have to say that is a refreshing change under Obama, is that he is appointing honest-to-goodness scientists to head up his science & technology positions. We haven't had that in... forever. Instead, we've gotten political cronies who were scientifically illiterate, and the results show. Hopefully, under Steven Chu, DOE will begin to show some competence in science.

That article was written in 2002. I wonder if there is something more current.
