I want to buy a gold sovereign for my wife to make into a necklace for her birthday. Although prices seem cheaper and more choices are available via ebay I am very cautious about counterfeits and or getting restitution from the unknown seller! I may be better off dealing with a reputable coin dealer. Although the coin dealer may be a lot higher and dealing with a professional in this field may be the right thing to do! I just do not want to get ripped off and if I pay alot for this, it better be the real McCoy! But I would like to hear the opinions and experiences of others..................THANKS.........Joe

Most coin dealers are just a few dollars over current market rates for bullion gold coins. I’d purchase from a local dealer to avoid the S/H

I've bought gold on eBay... go with someone who has been there a long time, has excellent feedback, and has a physical address & ph#. They should be willing to talk on the phone.
